You’ve toiled away at creating your web series masterpiece – blood, sweat and tears have gone into this project, and finally it is ready for the world to see … now what?

The hands-on creation of your content is only one part of the process. Marketing is just as essential as setting up the lighting and sound. I learned this in school when I spent so much time and energy in making my projects look and sound perfect, only to have no idea how to get an audience to sit down for it. I thought, “How could they not want to? What is wrong with them?” only to realize that audiences don’t want to be sold, they want to be entertained and invested in, just like anyone else.

As a creator, you have to come up with your web series distribution battle plan: what, when, how, etc. You have to get your channel in tip-top shape before you release it, and you need to know what to do from there.
