Making Low Budget Films Shouldn’t Be Impossible

Posted on: by Michael Tringe

Yet many aspiring producers are run off the road by the size of their wallets. I think it is time to stop that concept.

As I’ve said before we live in a digital age where more people than ever before can let their voice be heard. We aren’t limited to text either, we have access to video streams, databases, podcasts, direct messaging, and everything else you use on a daily basis.

As a low budget filmmaker you have challenges to overcome but the payoff is enormous relative to money spent. You can control the budget size, the direction, the marketing – everything that on a larger scale would be impossible to do without splitting up duties. As a creator, when you put more of yourself into your project the passion will light up the screen and audiences will notice.

It all starts with the word “Yes” and some good old-fashioned note-taking.
