CreatorUp – The Digital Storytelling Academy

Posted on: by Michael Tringe

Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe how far we’ve come in just the last couple years from our first four video tutorial courses on making web series as an online film school, to certification programs and a full digital entertainment curriculum of over 30 courses and 6 live classes as a digital storytelling academy. If you don’t know much about us, I’m excited to share everything we have to offer creative people all over the world, and some exciting new announcements.

The fastest way for me to share our story with you, and everything that we do is with – of course, a video.

CreatorUp offers courses for beginners just getting started, amateurs looking to do their own thing or launch their creative careers in digital entertainment, and creative professionals who want to improve or expand their creative skill set. We’ve worked with some incredible teachers who are the best at what they do from the entertainment industry, and we’ve had the opportunity to teach some truly awesome creative people like you.

So far this year, we’ve offered live classes which are four week long programs including: storytelling, crowdfunding, web series, filmmaking, branded content, and YouTube 101. Students have showcased their work at our screenings, and attending our ongoing free education workshop series in Los Angeles and online on everything from building your brand with original content to building a business with YouTube.

This summer, we will be running mini-workshops and camps on every single course topic on the platform – as well as expanding our curriculum to offer even more Pro level courses on everything from sound design to documentary filmmaking.

We’d love to hear from you! What are you working on? What are you challenged by? How can we help you to tell your story? Please share your thoughts in the comments below, and please help us to become a part of your story.
