Announcing the Immersive Storytelling Accelerator Program

Posted on: by Michael Tringe

What is immersive storytelling and how can filmmakers and creators begin to explore this new territory?

After our third LA hackathon with POV and Film Independent where media makers and technologists teamed up to tell stories in new ways, we are excited to be announcing that Film Independent and CreatorUp are teaming up with POV hackathon alum Kel O’Neill to launch the first immersive storytelling accelerator program next spring.

All participants who are interested in the accelerator program must enroll in the prerequisite seminar – interactive storytelling taught by Kel O’Neill. The course will include the following guest speakers: Future of Storytelling Prize finalists Samantha Gorman and Danny Cannizzaro (“Pry”), Jason Brush (Executive Vice President, POSSIBLE), and SXSW Interactive Award winner Chris Mendez.”

CreatorUp is committed to the emerging medium of interactive and immersive storytelling – which includes virtual reality storytelling and other exciting new formats. Will you be a part of the next wave of digital storytellers? And what story will you tell?

Want to apply for a full scholarship to the interactive storytelling course? Tell us why you want to do it – and a little bit about your project concepts.
